"One of those things woke haters love to hate. Especially due to all the diversity. It’s the most Kathleen Kennedy Star Wars. It is what Disney has tried the most to be lately. Which has failed with Lightyear and Strange World.
Yet they keep doing it despite it be what gets them the least viewers and makes them the least money.
I am not one of the haters but I am just saying what hasn’t worked for them. Still isn’t working.

"I really enjoyed this. The ending was a little blah, but really cool fight scenes and cameos. Too many unanswered questions and not confident a season 2 will happen, at least not soon. "

"I like the series, especially the last 2 episodes it came through. At the beginning it was a good then weak in some episodes. Sad to hear that there is no Season 2. So who was that alien looking guy hidden in the cave? Was that Qimir’s Master? Why did Qimir suffer so much under her Master Venestra? So many questions. "

"I just watched the whole series and it was meh. The mysteries it presents are quickly and predictably solved. The sets, look gorgeous, especially later in the series, and the action looks superb, especially in the first and last fights. Really awesome and jaw dropping.
Not the biggest Star Wars fan, this show didn't turn me into one. Still recommend seeing this show for the fight choreography alone. "

"I very much enjoyed this. Appreciated the new characters, new stories. I was hesitant at first (I couldn’t get into Andor) but this was a very different thing than I was expecting.
And…Manny Jacinto = A+"

"Seems like we are getting Star Wars content on the regular now, I'm not not mad about it, more stuff to watch for us. This one was a decent adventure with a Jedi storyline thrown in the mix, nice acting and great Visuals. Action scenes were nice, this one is different enough from the other Star Wars shows. Could be a great watch if you like sci-fi, but don't expect anything mind blowing."

"We’re only two episodes in, so I don’t have enough context to say if the show itself is the cup of tea that a Star Wars fan will “like”. I know, I know, we’re not the best fanbase to please and Leslye will get whatever end of the stick the fans land on.
So far this is what I’ve gotten from two episodes: The concept is ok. The characters are interesting. It’s different from the original story and it doesn’t base the plot around the original film. You gotta think, we’ve gotten films based on how it all started and the children of the original characters...
Now the one thing that I don’t understand, and it may be an oversight, a ((really big)) oversight, when the Qimir mentions working for the Hutts. Correct me if I’m wrong here but isn’t this showing before the Empire’s reign? The Hutts were in power ((during)) the Empires reign… the timing just doesn’t match up. "

"A fast-paced, enthralling, complex and well-done addition to the Star Wars universe. The lightsaber and force fights are really cool (great choreography, great setting) and there's one every episode. The characters are rich and interesting, and there's something for everyone - a twist, betrayal, steamy romance, family, and mentorship. Honestly, this show is the closest I've ever gotten to going, "Yeah, I'd join the Dark side too, I get it."- which I love. Highly recommend staying away from edits and ads, so you don't ruin any twists. Trust, watch this. I think the reason this has gotten criticism is that the main characters are force-powerful women, the romance is geared towards the female gaze, and the moral compass of the Jedi in this is, at times, very questionable. Traditionalist Star Wars fans might struggle with this, if they can't adapt."

"It’s a shame they won’t be making a second season. However, I do understand why. This story found its self in a strange pocket of detailed character development paired with clunky contradictions. Overall I enjoyed it and was interested in where they may take the story for season 2. Nonetheless, while watching I was thrown off numerous times, as the writers kept taking risk after risk! Unfortunately, my opinion is they couldn’t quite write themselves out of the wholes they kept digging. This story is particularly dark, which in truth, caused me more frustration - rather than pull me in. There were some great moments and great relationships, and there were lots of things to like… but the opposite is also true. If you are a Star Wars fan, or interested in the lore of this universe, Acolyte is a must watch. But, if you find yourself only interested in the big budget films or the Mandalorian, this may not be for you. "

"I really enjoyed this show. The story was fairly interesting. The lightsaber and force fight scenes were awesome! I wanted most to see more of Qimir. That character as the villain was powerful but we didn't get to see his motivations. "
