Set in England in the early 19th century, Pride and Prejudice tells the story of Mr and Mrs Bennet's five unmarried daughters after the rich and eligible Mr Bingley and his status-conscious friend, Mr Darcy, have moved into their neighbourhood. While Bingley takes an immediate liking to the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane, Darcy has difficulty adapting to local society and repeatedly clashes with the second-eldest Bennet daughter, Elizabeth.

"Completely! The best filmed version of the story, in my view."

"I’ve seen a lot of comments stating that the movie is better than the book. Highly disagree. I’m sympathetic to the struggle of fitting a 500 page book into a 2 hour long time slot, but the movie was missing many pivotal dialogue moments which gave the book it’s charm and without having read the book first I would have been entirely confused as to the characters’ motivations. Wick ham was almost non-existent throughout & so it made no sense for Elizabeth to be as loyal to him as she was as a friendship had not been properly established between the characters. Still, it was nice to see the costumes and sceneries realized. 3/5 "
"I enjoy this version of the movie more than the others, as it's more accurate to the book"
