odd_soul shared a tip "This is definitely one of my all-time favorite k-dramas. As a k-pop fan, I loved that the main character was a huge k-pop fan. I love the fake relationship trope, too! And once they’re together, I absolutely love the relationship between the leads and how supportive they are of each other. This drama was great from start to finish and the pacing was good too. I’ve found a lot of dramas tend to slow down after the halfway point, but this one kept me interested all the way through! The side characters are enjoyable as well. Highly recommend!"

amy_buckman shared a tip "CONTAINS SPOILERS Just finished Her Private Life and I have so many thoughts. This was not at all what I expected. It sounds crazy, but I think this K-drama changed me. Kim Jae-Uck’s portrayal of an adopted person as an adult was absolutely moving. The character’s struggle to process abandonment/attachment issues, while remaining tender-hearted and forgiving was poignant and authentic. Very few series delve into the complex emotions experienced by adopted people once they reach adulthood. My son was adopted into our family from a foreign country years ago. He’s an adult now & he’s an amazing person— kind, loving, intelligent, funny, successful at everything he does. I saw many glimpses into my own real-life son’s heart & mind through Ryan/Yun-Jae’s fictional character. I know this series won’t be as meaningful to people with a different frame of reference as it was to me. Although painful to watch at times, for me, seeing Ryan/Yun-Jae’s story unfold was therapeutic. It brought back many emotions from when my son first came to us, as well as reminding me how far we’ve come & how much healing has taken place. A beautiful series that will leave a lasting impression on my heart."
