Far from reality-show caricatures, this is true documentary filmmaking that brings viewers into the authentic and visceral experience of weekly therapy with four couples. World-class therapist Dr. Orna Guralnik deftly guides the couples through the minefield of honest confrontation with each other and with themselves, revealing the real-life struggles — and extraordinary breakthroughs — typically hidden behind closed doors.

"I was totally absorbed with this show. Who would have thought spending 5 hours as a fly on the wall of another couples’ therapy would be so interesting. The season follows 4 diverse couples as they navigate 12 weeks of couples therapy and you also get to see the interesting perspective from the therapist as she speaks with her peers about her cases and the intricacies of her profession "
"Good LORT this docuseries is absolutely riveting, and a *terrific* binge. I love it so much. It lands nowhere near the normal reality TV tropes we are all used to. Imo there's not one person on this planet who wouldn't benefit from counseling of some kind, and I have honestly learned so much from this series. It's amazing. I would also like to mention that in season 1 you will see this therapist (Dr. Orna Guralnik) operate with such commendable restraint and balance that I can barely be convinced she is real lol. If you watch it or have watched it, how TF is Mau not murdered every day of his life. I have more hate for him than I thought I was capable of. Literal gutteral hate. Which makes it all the more interesting lol. Please give this one a try. I don't think anyone is immune to the infectious power it has, no matter who you are. The only issue for me is that there are only 3 seasons so far lol, but I have confirmed that they are renewed for a 4th. GO. NOW."
"Fantastic and fascinating show!"
"It’s based on four actual couples who visit the same therapist. She discusses her patients with her own therapist in order to better understand her choices as a therapist and better understand her own feelings while treating them. #nonfiction #social #insightful"
