"Wow I just watched the episode about the making of Dirty Dancing & was surprised that the producer herself Linda Gottlieb didn’t even remember that only the hotel & cabin scenes were shot in Virginia at the Mountain Lake Lodge. The infamous lift in the lake scenes were shot at Lake Lure in North Carolina. She even walks around the VA hotel set & says “there was a lake here!” Lol does she really think the lake just disappeared (as she claims)?? I’ve been to that lake & it’s definitely in NC!"
