"This is one of my favorite movies ever. I just watched it again last night and the intricacies in the plot are great because though I have watched this movie a couple times, it unfolds relaying things that I have since forgotten. I decided to watch this after finishing the second season of Slow Horses( a series good for those who love Gary Oldman and espionage). This movie showcases a talented cast of big names. However, the stand out performance goes to Gary Oldman’s Smiley who is played with restraint and an art of subtlety perfected by this favored actor. This movie easily qualifies as a top recommendation of mine. #spy_thriller #julietspick #julietsfavorites #garyoldman #dramadepartment "

"It's the greatest spy or espionage movie ever. This says it's a Thriller, but I don't think that's accurate. The movie is tense, but it never feels like a Thriller or a "Suspense" movie. I don't honestly know what to call it other than just a Drama, though. It's a movie about uncovering a double agent, from within a group of people who have all known each other for decades, and the entire movie feels embedded in the setting and culture of these people. You're always some level of tense, always sitting up and paying attention, but rarely on the edge of your seat.
I sincerely don't think any movie has done the search for a mole better. This should be the bar that other films try to reach. "
"One of my favourite spy movies. You have to be an active watcher in order to enjoy it to the fullest. Sit back and enjoy the movie and catching up on clues. "
