"Is this the best book or film, no and yet there is something captivating about it. Though I have always said Stephanie meyers stole ideas from Roswell book and tv 1999 series about alien instead of vampire. It’s funny but I was fully captivated by Roswell tv series as well."

"When the books became popular, everyone around me seemed to be talking about it. However, I couldn't get over the jokes about a werewolf & vampire fighting over a girl. The idea bored me. Plus, the supernaturals did not interest me in the slightest. Then the movies came out and the popularity only grew. Girls would ask me whether I was team Jacob or Edward, & I didn't even know who that was. The final movie came out, & I hadn't seen or read a single word.
However, apparently, I was curious. The movie came out on Netflix & I added it to my list. Eventually, I watched it. It shocked me. Mostly because I kept wondering when the werewolves would show up. But also because I expected something so different. It wasn't as bad as I'd been led to believe. That doesn't mean it's good though. It's a fine enough movie, when you watch it. The moment it's over and you give it more thought or just begin to analyze it, you realize how twisted and bad it is.
So much narration, though. I get it was a book, but this is supposed to be a movie.
The relationship is creepy, borderline stalker and probably really messed up a lot of teen girls for future relationships.
The reason this happens is because the movie is a good movie. As you watch it you will even enjoy parts. So it tricks you into thinking it's better than it is. It can't withstand much scrutiny. But it's also not as bad as everyone leads you to believe. It's a fine movie, it just doesn't deserve all this attention.
The love story is fine when watching in the moment, but there are so many red flags that you get blinded by the end. It's the same thing when watching Beaty & the Beast. You want to root for their relationship until you realize it's Stockholm syndrome. It's the same thing for this movie. You want to root for it until you realize it's a toxic relationship & possesive.
But yeah, the love story itself is bland. Basically,it's turning every overimaginative teen girl fantasy into a very twisted reality. Hence, Twilight."
