Poker Face is a lot of dark and twisty fun, definitely edgier than those previous iterations. It’s also scenery rich, spectacularly filmed and fantastically acted…jam packed with a cadre of elder statesmen guest stars. I almost want to say it could be a bit agist given…well you’ll see if you watch…but they’re all just so good anyway. My favorite is probably the Nick Nolte/Cherry Jones ep with its monster makeup effect art and horror tinged ambiance. Judith Light’s environmental terrorist is also deliciously dark and just fun to watch. But it’s Natasha Lyonne that ties all the disparate characters together. With her Columbo-esque fumbling and acid wit on full display, she’s the heart of the show and the reason to watch!"

"This is a fun show and worth watching. It’s by the writer of Glass Onion and brings some of that feel. The real parallel though is the 70s hit Columbo which became a hit with GenZ during the pandemic. Clearly this show is a clever attempt to modernize the classic and it makes things very entertaining. The downside is that you need to suspend disbelief often because they take things a bit far in trying to wrap the episodes up. But it’s still an enjoyable show to watch. "
