Liam James, boy next door and total douchebag, is my brother’s best friend. I can’t stand him. Well, that’s not strictly true, at night I see a side of him that no one else does. Every night Liam becomes my safe haven, my protector, the one to chase the demons of my abusive childhood away and hold all the broken pieces of me together. He’s cocky, he’s arrogant, and he’s also some sort of playboy in training. With his ‘hit it and quit it’ mentality, he’s the last person you’d want to fall in love with. I only wish someone had told my heart that… The international bestselling novel, and finalist of the Goodreads choice awards YA fiction 2012.

"This was very powerful. A bit predictable at times, but the love they had for each other was just lovely. Trigger warning though, there is a component of childhood abuse (all kinds) and miscarriage. It's dealt with well for the most part, however I feel she would have done so much better with at least a little counselling. Overall, enjoyed!"
"I found this book amazing. It was cliche, yes, but it was adorable. The characters mended together well, and the ending was insane. So much happened near the end. Her miscarriage was the worst moment for her and I felt for her truly. Her father is honestly a horrible person. My only question was how was he going to press charges when he slammed her into a bookshelf? He made her have a miscarriage. He made her have those problems. They would have had a case for it. He did beat him more than he had to but if her dad wanted to press charges, then they could have too. Still loved the book!!"
"I really want to give this book 5 Stars because I really liked the concept but if I have to be entirely honest there really wasn’t any plot!"
