It’s a pretty slow book in the beginning considering the whole plot takes place in a 31 foot RV 😉, but I still never found myself bored. The ending was an insane twist I wasn’t expecting at all. Definitely recommend if you like thrillers and mysteries."

Overall this book was pretty good but it felt like she very purposefully tried to pull red herrings out of her butt to throw us off but instead of leaving it to us to come up with, she handed them to us."

Filled with beautiful lies, deception, and dark secrets, this book takes you on an emotional journey that only takes place in the matter of a few hours. I could NOT put this down. The Plato was so engaging and anxiety inducing, I just had to know what happened next. Everyone has secrets, even people you thought you knew best. And secrets can get you killed. Another masterpiece from Holly Jackson—10/10!"

laine_ shared a tip "It was okay. I had read some of her other books and I enjoyed those ones, but this one was kinda mid. I found that it wasn’t very tense for the plot that it was going for and that I had seen this exact situation play out in other books 100 times before and done better. The characters were miserable, they all didn’t even seem like friends, Reds character being a problem as well. Red has some issues that she doesn’t put aside and has his self pity attitude that gets quite annoying. On another note, I found that some parts of the book felt too formulaic and acted as filler to get the page count up. As well as the last quarter of the book being just a bunch of red herrings that came out of no where. Overall, this wasn’t a horrible book. I enjoyed the slight thrill that it gave me. I felt as the author could have done better with this one."

haley_mages shared a tip "This book disappointed me immensely. I really enjoyed a good girls guide to murder so I thought I’d try this. I’ll start with what I did like: there were some breadcrumbs to follow throughout the book, everything comes together at the end. Great plot twists. I mean, really jaw dropping. What I didn’t like was how long this book was for no reason. The whole story takes place in an RV, and it just felt extremely dragged out. Because it’s all in an RV, a lot of time is spent with unlikeable characters. You know, the ones where you roll your eyes every time you see their name. Nothing really comes together until the final 40 or so pages. The ending felt rushed, probably because of how dragged out the book was. All in all, if you have the time and patience, it is worth it for the mystery and plot twists alone."

But this book made me think that I was truly in the RV with the crew. I feel so betrayed reading it. But it was so good. One of my new favorites! ❤️ 10/10"
