Calvin is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with his writing – as well as his romantic life. Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby, in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.

"If your a girl go into it thinking this is a horror movie because it is. I don’t wanna spoil anything but to put it vaguely as the movie progresses we see how Calvin’s view of Ruby changes and how his relationship with her changes and the power dynamic between them change. The climax scene with the type writer was horrifying. Something about it being so realistic. Something that could happen to you. Definitely would watch again but only if i was gonna watch with a friend or something. It makes me too uncomfortable to watch again “just for fun.”"
