"Probably my fourth watch of this movie, truly a great film. Loved Wong Kar Wai's works, it has this kind of energy in his films that's a pleasant to watch. Love how the story unfolds and the music is center of it all, once you watch this movie you will never forget it. If you call yourself a film buff, this is a must watch."
"I get that it's part of the Criterion Collection for a reason, but I just found this movie to be boring and tedious and repetitive. The first couple times California Dreamin' played it was fitting and appropriate. After the 5th to 8th times I wanted to scream. I get that they were trying to make a point with the song but it was overkill imo. Good cinematography and soundtrack otherwise but not much substance to make up the rest. "
"Love the handheld camera-work style, transitions, soundtrack, and selection of characters. Reminds me of amores perros in regards to the organization of the plot and its deep dive into urban loneliness and romance reminiscent of 'Her' or 'El Refugio de Los Insomnes' which are all (duh) movies id recommend.
