"For a film that's so suave and badass, it can also be breathtakingly sad. Every character is quietly dealing with pain in his/her own way, but instead of bluntly shoving the consequences of different courses of action in our faces, Wong Kar Wai deals with his subjects very subtly, and the end result is very powerful."
"Two stories barely intersect in 1995 Hong Kong. One involves intense action and a hired asssasin and his business partner. The other involves a quirky couple on adventures and driving everyone else a bit mad with their antics. The music score is new but familiar. It is interesting to watch for the fleeting intersections of the stories. "
"I can’t say that this movie is good by any means. It’s very strange and honestly hard to explain movie. But I enjoyed It a lot. Mainly because it’s so strange of a film. Huge tip not being sober for this movie would make it so much more enjoyable. I don’t know why I liked it but I did. The main cast is honestly very attractive men included. It reminds me of requiem of a dream. Not in how dark it was. But it was very trippy. Chaotic and sometimes wacky action. With a bit of a different approach at romance. Plus lot’s of just strangeness. I’ll leave it at that. I enjoyed it a lot not because I think its bad but because this Is the type of film I’ve wanted for so long. Just peace and chaos. And a lot of other things to confuse you more."
"This is a pretty cool movie, I loved the ending especially, and the themes of partnership but the shining star of this movie is the cinematography as I’ve never seen anything like it so if that’s your thing then I highly recommend this movie "

"I like experimental filming and shots but a lot of it was just felt weird, not artistic. The characters were genuinely insane which was interesting, and the relationships were also very interesting, but overall very confusing, very weird, and I don’t understand the plot or connection except they happen to know each other (sort of)"
"insanely beautiful cinematography and atmosphere with interesting intertwining stories."
