Journalists Ichiro Sakai and Junko cover the wreckage of a typhoon when an enormous egg is found and claimed by greedy entrepreneurs. Mothra's fairies arrive and are aided by the journalists in a plea for its return. As their requests are denied, Godzilla arises near Nagoya and the people of Infant Island must decide if they are willing to answer Japan's own pleas for help.

"Had Godzilla movies playing the entire time for my first party since Covid started and I highly recommend doing that if you don't know what else to put on for some friends and drinks. It's a lot of fun and you can tune in and out to your leisure and every once in awhile someone will go "what the **** is that" and everyone will watch some amazingly cheesy puppetwork or a ludicrous plot beat."
