One moment this movie has a beautiful somber tone that contemplates loss and how we should pick up the pieces after the fact then we have ocean man with wings on his feet making veiled threats to a queen and a princess with spears in their hands. Should have either recasted BP and went with the original plan for BP2 or stay a grounded character drama. It tries to do both and it just left me confused at the end."

I’m terrified of the ocean/hate being underwater so the bits in Talokan had me sweating and really anxious but they were super cool none the less. I don’t think I can really sum up this movie, so much happened and it was such a beautiful experience to see it in theaters. Go see it in theaters if you can, it’s worth it. The action was so incredible"

While not sacrificing on action, special effects, the movie does a great job of grieving the loss of Chadwick/Black Panther along with the audience. It also shows the journey of how loved ones have to find their way after tragic losses. If you have a soul, have tissues when you watch this. theefinalboy shared a tip "i’ve tried to write this review a handful of times since i watched but i just can’t seem to get my words together but here we go. this had me crying to the point i had to stop eating my popcorn, i was going through it y’all skfjsj. this was a lovely tribute to a man who will dearly and forever be missed and loved. ryan coogler and everyone involved honored mr. Chadwick boseman’s passing & legacy beautifully and this is very special and full of heart. angela basset’s performance in particular had me bawlinggggg, what a woman. awards when? that being said, this is definitely still a marvel movie through and through but i did like this! one of the stronger phase 4 movies for sure. i had my laughs—maybe not as many as the guy sitting in front of me but that’s okay! the fight scenes in particular were fantastic i was watching with my mouth like 🤯for most of them….. especially when it came to namor. holy ****. my favorite phase 4 villain? more likely than you think. cannot wait to see more of him and talokan!!! seeing the city and learning more about him, it was so interesting. AND I LOVE RIRI. i don’t know how i managed to not know or will myself to forget she was in this but she had me laughing and it was so cool to see her tech, i can’t wait to see more. also the reoccurring attuma vs okoye genuinely had me grinning (albeit Very worried), some of the strongest fight scenes in this, i need to see those again. i do wanna mention that the runtime in this is felt. i thought i wouldn’t really feel it but it does drag on ever so slightly. and the cast in this movie slayed hard, i just love it when WOMEN - but it seems like it’s just to set up the next phase which ok to be expected in a marvel movie so whatever! oh and Kevin Feige you will be hearing from my lawyer on account of the immense emotional damage me and the experienced from this masterpiece sorry but if namor looked at me the way he was looking at shuri, i would just agree with whatever he wanted, no questions 5/5"

vito_lupedee shared a tip "I just finished watching this movie. Marvel did not disappoint once again. Overall, I enjoyed it. A great tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. Lots of great action and stunning visuals. Angela Bassett does a great job as well, stealing a couple of scenes. That being said, I have a couple of observations that kind of annoyed me in this one. First of all, I HATE that they gave Namor a nose piercing. I obsessed on it every time he was on screen. And I also wish he looked more "buff" for lack of a better word, he looked a little soft for the character. Secondly, some of Namor's people seem to have feathers in their attire. Where the hell did they find feathers in the ocean. And lastly, Wakanda is supposed to be a land locked country so to have them go to war with Atlanteans seems like a stretch. But I can suspend disbelief for this point."

Wasn’t really a fan of the new Black Panther suit nor the new teal/blue suits that were created. A couple of the characters I didn’t really see the point of having them there, it could have been worked around. But other than that it was a good turning point for Shuri especially with losing her whole family and a nice surprise at the end with Nakia."

The way director Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole (Writer) preform a stunning job of continuing the legacy of The Black Panther is beautiful. I was in tears the whole time watching the movie (especially the post verdict scene). The way that the cinema portrays life, death, and heritage in such a creative light is memorizing. They had some good points there. We already know DC don't give a damn about recasting, lol. We have 50'leven Batmen and a gang of Supermen out there. While I understand the choice not to recast, I now see the value in it. While this film was still good to me, it was didn't compare to the first, BUT much of what happened here, IMO, was setting us up story/plot lines to be explored in the next installment of the film 🎥"

The soundtrack is encapsulating, and Ludwig Göransson really nails both the African and Mesoamerican vibes, and every featured track from the compilation elevated the feel of the film as well. Angela Bassett’s remarkable performance is unforgettable. Tenoch Huerta as Namor is as menacing as he is stunning. Each actor brings new dimensions to their characters that are enthralling to watch. Finally, you MUST watch this movie for the young and emerging talent that is about to dominate the MCU for the next decade, because they are EXCEPTIONAL. All of this to say that I really liked this movie and want to further process my appreciation of it (maybe also rewatch) before diving deeper into criticisms about the overall storytelling. P.S. Shuri has THE superior fits in all of the MCU - I would say argue with a wall, but I don’t think anyone disagrees."
