I'm not kidding when I say a character gives a recap of the first two movies by speaking exactly what happens to another character. Eddie Redmayne is the only perk, he's fantastic in the role as Newt. Skip it, these movies just get worse and worse."

michael_daugherty_5898 shared a tip "Very well put together to make sure to tie together things of why some things happened in some of the Harry Potter movies, like Dumbledore removing his own memories with his wand or even Harry Potter's father and mother. It wasn't as good as the first two, but it was still good. I would recommend seeing it if you watched the other two movies."

joslyn shared a tip "After loving the first two movies, I am sad that this one fell flat. Several moments of convenient/lazy writing, characters not getting a full arc or depth to their roles. Some that don’t or barely even return. There is some nice context added to the Harry Potter storyline, but otherwise just wasn’t for me. If there are more movies, hopefully what was lacking in this, is made up for in the next."

memepepehg shared a tip "As a fan of Harry Potter, I found it very interesting, but only because I’ve read the books. We can only admire the genius mind of Rowling in this movie if we know the story of Albus! Fantastic Beasts 3 is putting in scene exactly what was in HP 7!"

Grindelwald had a much larger role in this movie and I did not feel like ‘what’s his face’ did the role justice. Depp has a swagger, a way of portraying deceit and anger, evil and fury with just a look and stance. It was not the same. But, that being said. The rest of the movie, was incredibly fast paced, there was a lot of action-Wizarding battles, amazing magical creatures, and hysterical moments I loved!"

I have to go into the HP prequel’s not expecting the same wonder and amazement that I get from the main 8 movies, since those were so focused on the magic of the magical world, and understand that these are more focused on the stories and characters rather than trying to awe and amaze by introducing you to knew parts of the magical world. I felt like there were a few holes still, but appreciate the movie in and of itself."

The first movie started a new storyline which still connected to the original series but was a standalone. I feel as CoG & SoD continued, it became a prequel to the original series rather than its own story & characters."

It answered a lot of the questions that we had to. I can't want to the book/play to come out now. We are planning to watch it again. Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast series are ones that have a lot of little details that you have to pay a lot of attention to. Extremely enjoyable and thrilling interest."
