"Revolving around a family's decision to not tell their mother/grandmother she has cancer, this movie highlights the different mindsets traditionally found in the east vs the west, and in doing so also reveals that opposites aren't always right vs wrong, sometimes they're just different. Not to say this is the main message, but it was the big takeaway for me, and a big reason for me recommending this movie. It's currently available to watch on Tubi (which is free!) Also, it's mostly in Mandarin Chinese, so you may need to rely on the provided subtitles. 9/10, :)"

"Beautifully done film. The premise is that the family matriarch is dying of cancer and the family decides to go visit, but not to tell her. Awkwafina plays the granddaughter, wrestling with her grief & love for her grandma. Her acting is so relateable - definitely recommend watching!"
