"Predictable, but perhaps worth a look, at least … and nice to look at, but you’ll have to decide whether or not you think this Reese Witherspoon / Ashton Kutcher #Netflix #romcom is ROFL funny &/OR romantic … because the two of them are RARELY in a scene together in this #SplitScreen movie!🧐 🤷♀️🤔 … But it’s got a #soundtrack that includes some of the best cuts ever put out by THE CARS 🤩🎶💿🎶 … Plus, it’s got #TigNotaro who’s ALWAYS low-key sarcastic & humorous, imo … And that luxury apartment!😮 Now THAT’S a NICE piece of real estate!!🤩 "
"After seeing all the press photos and all the talk online about the lack of chemistry between Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, I was a little worried about this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised! Sure, their physical chemistry was kind of lacking, BUT seeing as they were only physically in the same room for like 3 scenes out of the whole movie, it honestly didn’t affect it that much. They had a good back and forth over the phone and I could definitely buy that they were life long friends. The plot was also pretty grounded for a modern rom com which was super nice to see. Gimmicky romances can get so old. Really enjoyed the cast. Rachel Bloom was a surprise cameo (my Crazy Ex-Girlfriend fan heart got so excited). It was cute. Not the best rom com I’ve ever seen but definitely not the worst."
"I saw this movie before it was released and I think it was better seeing it a second time. Not so much a comedy, but does have likable actors and their acting was great! The love story wasn’t good I think they could’ve admitted it a lot sooner than just continuing on like friends."
