Highlander II: The Quickening

"I watched this movie again recently after a long while. I watched the new recut version called The Renegade Version (adding 19 extra minutes to the film) on Starz streaming. Overall, the movie isn't that great, but there is a pretty good premise. The storyline involves seeing an older MacLeod in a world in which the ozone layer has been completely compromised and now the world is covered by an invisible shield. Lawlessness ensues. John C. McGinley plays a corporate baddie, but really overplays his role, remindong me of the overracting from the original RoboCop sequels. Michael Ironside is the real baddie, and he definitely relishes it. Christopher and Lambert and Sean Connery unite with Virginia Madsen to once again, overcome all odds and return the world to better times. There are some fun over the top scenes fight scenes between the hero and the foe, and a crazy hard rock soundtrack. It's up to you if you feel like watching this almost absurd but at times fun sequel."
