"Slow. Boring. Although I do think women who have suffered postpartum will feel for Emma Roberts's character. I think she did an excellent job, but I've always liked her. (Can't stand her aunt, though.) There were some things that didn't make sense or just seemed off. I didn't really get the husband's vet storyline with the pigs unless it was to show us he was a compassionate animal person. Again, not sure why that mattered. The baby was so freaking cute!!! There were some jump scares but the ending was meh. Not quite 3/5*s but I rounded up."

"26th of Spooktober - Top Of The List Though I found it somewhat disappointing and lacking, it was still a good film overall. Both Emma Roberts and Michael Shannon were amazing as always, the main storyline was stable, and the overall feel and tone of the film was perfectly unsettling. Unfortunately, the addition of a minor storyline did nothing but add some major flaws, and the conclusion to the film had such a drastic change in tone to rest of the film that it was rather underwhelming"
