"I gave this movie two stars, but really deserves two and a half stars⭐, because there is at least one recognizable actor in the cast, Josh Lucas who hasn't acted in a great film since Stealth in 2005. In any case, this movie was pretty much doomed from the beginning. As far as shark attack movies go, there really wasn't too many of those. I love a good dumb shark movie, but what I don't love is when the writer decides he wants a smart and dramatic plot when it is really about shark attacks. The plot revolves around a family who goes on vacation thinking they are going to find a tropical resort, but instead finds a depopulated coastal town with desperate people who believe the sea god Tlaloc will save them if he is appeased. This movie could have been better if it had just been a dumb shark movie."

"i soo hated this movie. To me a huge time waster. If looking for heroes here, look at the kids bc the adults were lacking. The husband had more sugar in his tank than average, him & his skinny jeans. The shark should have had more screen time than 2 mins . Really this was just hurt ful to watch 2/10"
