"OH MY GOD!!!.....I hate myself for thinking for pretty much half of my life that this was some dumb teen high school popularity cult horror movie geared for younger people. People that have seen this already (I'm guessing that's most of you since this movie is 25 years old), wanna slap me right now 👋, and I don't blame you. This movie is a very much rated R mix of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Thing, and Night of the Creeps (or for younger people, Slither from James Gunn is a newer similar movie). Yes, it does take place in a High School if the "kids" were 23ish year old actors 🤣, and i believe the youngest actor in this movie I saw was Jordana Brewster who was 18 at the time, the rest of the star studded cast was averagely 23+. This movie was an absolute freaking blast, with fantastic practical effects that look great even now. I'm absolutely giving this a solid 4 stars because I'm definitely watching this again in the future. That all said, I freaking loved The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and I think he's one of the funniest human beings on this planet, BUT....I just couldn't separate the Host from the role in this movie.....it was just weird 😆."
