"I knew a little bit about this movie going into it from what I read from other people's posts, so I was somewhat prepared for a f*cked up, uncomfortable watch. And it sure is. The one long take is a smart choice from the director, it adds to the intensity of it all. This movie is a testament to just how racist thinking, being urged on and given validation by like minded people will always spiral and escalate into violence. It's horrible to think that there are actually people that think this way in the world, and worse I'm afraid. As uncomfortable as it was to watch at times, the movie has a good pace to it, and I liked the ending, just knowing that they would get what they deserve. 7.5/10"

"This is the only time I feel like I should have watched the trailer to better prepare myself for what I was about to witness. I found this extremely hard to sit through it was literally an endurance test for me personally. The one take shot literally forces you to ride with these characters whether you want to or not. Other movies in the past have approached racism with caution or used it sparingly, but Soft & Quiet is brazen and unfiltered. First time writer director Beth de Araújo has said that she started writing this film the day after the video of Amy Cooper calling the cops on a Black birdwatcher in Central Park, Her point is it’s the everyday people that hide in plain sight and show a lot threw there microaggressions. I really didn’t need this reminder that people like this exist.I usually don’t say this but this isn’t a film I needed to see. And the ones who need to watch it probably won’t. I honestly could have skipped over this one it’s not an important watch for me. A film of Neo-Nazi Karen’s is the best way I can describe these white women. It left a lingering feeling of anger and trauma with no resolution .Nothing about this is Soft&Quiet but I do understand that form of racism. This isn’t horror but something far worse. I can’t think of the last time a film got under my skin like this so I guess the director did her job. But at the same time is this film really needed. Not something I will ever in my life watch again. If you expect some type of relief and a conclusion I promise, you won’t find none. Watch at you own discretion especially POC."

"The film takes a bit to build, but feels uncomfortable from the start. Once things get rolling it’s frenetic and intense. I went into this film with no clue what it was about, and I think that’s the best way to experience it. Very solid watch. "
