Kimberly HarpeWhen I heard they were remaking Road House, I wasn't sure I was going to want to watch it. Why remake a gold thing, right? Then I saw who they were casting as the lead and had to give it a shot. Jake Gyllenhaal did not disappoint, he did a phenomenal job, and I absolutely loved his version of Dalton. He definitely made this character his own, so don't go into watching it with a romanticized Swayze in mind. As unbelievable as it may be, I think I've found a movie where I enjoyed the remake even better. The sense of humour was right up my alley, the action was fast faced, the banter well written, and Conor McGregor was a hilarious addition. I'll be watching this movie again.

Kimberly HarpeHonestly love this one. With its prequel vibe and it's modernized throwback soundtrack, I was smiling the whole time, even made a point to buy myself a copy on DVD.

Kimberly HarpeI'm currently on season two if this show, via Disney+, and am thoroughly impressed. It almost has a Lost Girl vibe. It's dark, enchanting, and the mermaid culture and behaviours are very well developed. I highly recommend this show to anyone who has enjoyed Lost Girl, Supernatural, Grimm, The Magicians, Hemlock Grove, etc.
