"Each season a new, bigger, badder villain transforms how you think about characters you thought you knew. "

"Awesome story. Loved seeing the sapphic relationship between a certain Madam and Calamity Jane. Plus Bullock is crazy hot and I am here for it. "

"Calamity Jane is my favorite character in the show. I'm typically not into Western themed entertainment but this is much more beyond that. "

"Like Carnivale, another more gritty historical entry than gritty crime although so much crime on display in Deadwood, SD! This is one of my all time favorite shows for it’s amazing cast, gorgeous writing (yes, peppered with record amount of f bombs but it wouldn’t be authentic if outlaw people spoke any differently)so listen to the other language, it’s simply poetic! The brutal but realistic depictions of life in this town as it inevitably becomes less outlaw and more civilized are fascinating. "

"The character development in this series is excellent. The dialogue takes some time to get acclimated to, so multiple watching of this series may be necessary, however definitely well worth the investment. Also it was great that HBO returned to 'finalize' the series with a long-format movie. "
