"Deadwood reviews always mention the f word count and yes it is filled with the most creative swearing ever but the people speaking this way were supposed to be outlaws trying to live on the outskirts of society and the law and to use the bad words of the time would just sound laughable by today’s standards. It’s supposed to shock you! The language around it though is beautifully written and the acting and storytelling is some of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m a history buff and I adored Deadwood! "

"The show is 3 seasons, 36 episodes total and ended in 2006. A movie was made in 2019 to wrap everything up. "

"Like Carnivale, another more gritty historical entry than gritty crime although so much crime on display in Deadwood, SD! This is one of my all time favorite shows for it’s amazing cast, gorgeous writing (yes, peppered with record amount of f bombs but it wouldn’t be authentic if outlaw people spoke any differently)so listen to the other language, it’s simply poetic! The brutal but realistic depictions of life in this town as it inevitably becomes less outlaw and more civilized are fascinating. "
