"I know that I saw the original movie with Harrison Ford, but it's been over 30 years since I've seen it so I don't recall much about it other than that it was a quality movie. This is also a quality series from Apple+, but I feel it might have been better served as a movie instead of an 8 episode series. There are some slow parts, but I guess that is forgivable as there is a lot of time to fill. All the acting from the major players is top notch with the exception of O-T Fagbenle whose speech affect is so annoying to me that I immediately hated him. It's worth while to hang in til the end for the twist ending that I didn't see coming, and I don't recall if it's the same in the original. I'm a sucker for courtroom dramas so overall, a decent watch. 8.5/10"

"This series was a total reimagining of the original movie which was out in the early 90’s with Harrison ford, and Greta scacchi. I still prefer the original movie. David e Kelley is a competent writer and if I had never seen the other I might feel differently. I just felt this version had a lot of slowed down scenes etc trying to reach the 8 episode standard. I prefer the movie’s storyline much better. "

"Jake Gyllenhaal is epic in this series. **spoiler alert** hereon. Ending is SUCH a letdown. When you have captivated the viewer for almost 8 hours, don’t short change them. I was hoping for oh-what-did-I-miss moment but this part was just thrown out there with no logical link, weak dialogues and characters lacked integrity especially with how beautifully the plot was being laid out… but nonetheless, it was well done and gotta hand it to JG. "
