Watch this if you love beautiful animation, Japanese culture, awesome fight sequences, revenge and a great cast. "

"This was so amazingly good. Set in feudal Japan, our biracial, gender fluid, super cool hero is on a quest for revenge. Amazing cast. Standouts include Maya Erskine and George Takei. Written by the guy who wrote Logan and Blade Runner 2049, and his wife, Amber Noizumi. The animation and the way it’s directed is mind blowing. Rated R in more ways than one, including absolutely fantastic action sequences. Left wide open for more seasons. Top 5 show of the year. "Disarticulation in the first 6 minutes, stylish and tight animation, good voice acting. Netflix hasn't had an original this good since Arcane. Going against the grain to say the story itself is uninventive and a bit tired. "

"I really do like this but I have a major complaint that’s brings this down a lot. I’m only half way through this but don’t imagine any big changes will happen. The people look a little weird to me personally not that much of a critique. I really like the setting though. Plus the backgrounds themselves are beautiful. The dialogue is actually surprisingly interesting and not force fed to you. The fight scenes are definitely what I like the most for sure though. They can be very dynamic and somewhat like john wick. Taigen is literally just Zuko. He says my honor in almost every one of his scenes. Plus he literally has a near identical scar in a torture scene. My biggest complaint is the very overdone revenge story. I think the race thing definitely adds a little to it. But not enough for me to care about the story. I almost even stopped watching because of this. But I will finish it probably won’t watch the next season if there is one. My real rating is a 2.5/5. Unless it improves significantly or does anything differently story wise that won’t change. "

"Brutal. Intense. Crazy. Awesome. Definitely for 18+. This show was insane. Anyone interested in art or doing digital media should watch this, they use a mix of styles and combine them. Lots of great nods to old kung-fu movies, in both scenes and soundtrack. This is a gritty better written mulan. Cant wait for the next season. I hope taegen chases after them! Hooooot!"
