"I'm not sure what I expected from this but it wasn't what I got. Despite that I liked what it did. It felt good and heartwarming despite the sadness that seems to overtake the aura of the show. The character grows throughout and his relationships truly make the show shine. I love the teacher far too much he is easily my favorite. However, I never finished this. It pops up in my memory bank from time to time but I never watched it all the way through. In spite of everything, I look on this show fondly. There truly is something heartwarming about it that sticks with me. "
"A few weeks ago, I asked the Anime Lounge about masterfully written anime. More or less at random, I decided, from among the suggested works, to check out S1 of March Comes in Like a Lion, and it was really good. It's a drama (with some comedy) about a depressed, introverted orphan who's reached high school age, and is also a professional shogi player who's plateaued. But will the kindness of 3 orphaned sisters, his teacher, and his shogi peers break his slump? Or, even, heal his brokenness?"
"It made me cry lol it was soooo good"
