"Best sports movie I’ve seen in years, but it is so much more than that. Outstanding!"

"I probably wouldn’t have watched this movie if Halle Berry wasn’t in it. Her performance is the strongest part of the movie. Other than that it’s not much to see here. The film really tried to do too much but maybe it’s just the lack of script."

"A story that grabs you from the beginning. Filled with trauma and potentially triggering topics, it follows a once top UFC fighter who has been out of the ring for years. After unintentionally getting into a fight at an underground brawl, she is pushed to start training again. Loved this; it makes you feel all the feels. Unexpectedly enjoyed this more than I thought I would."

"Ok. First of all for this to be kind of sort of like $1 million baby/hurricane /into the term wall with the fighter/characters real life/addiction problem/the things that fighters go through in the real world you know it was overall great story very ground in realism and you know I love movies like that. Great actress she played an amazing character did an amazing job everyone supported and did they’re best as well"

"A good first directorial outing for Berry. I thought that it was a bit long for what it was, but it was good. "

"Here's something different. Halle Berry does better job acting than directing; but, that doesn't yield a poor result. The story takes some different turns at the predictable beats and stays entertaining, if not revolutionary. It's not Rocky or Creed; but, it has more hope than Million Dollar Baby. The fighting is definitely secondary to the story of a broken woman getting her fix on. I can root for that any day of the week. "
