A series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community and Detective Lois Tryon feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. "Travis Kelce needs to STOP hanging out with Taylor and stop doing #HULU shows and start focusing on catching the pigskin because he SUCKS right now!! 😜🏈
JK! 😉 Hopefully, he’ll be back in beast mode soon, ready to catch passes and dominate the field again…Until then, GROTESQUERIE looks to be perfect for #Halloween season!
And yes, Kelce even makes an appearance in this series – though I’m hoping his acting is better than his catching lately!😅 Thankfully, we’ll also get to see more from Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who just rocked the co-starring role as Lyle Menendez in #MONSTERS season two. Plus, the fabulous Ms. Niecy Nash, an #Emmy winner for MONSTERS season one, is back!
▪️ Episodes One & Two were both eerily creepy… but so far, it’s a painful, slow-burning mystery. However, something dark seems to be bubbling just beneath the surface, and I hope the pace will significantly quicken and the tension will ramp up soon!!🤞 Once again, I’m captivated by the performances of Nash and Chavez, but I’m eagerly awaiting for a big twist ASAP! ‼️

"This is an odd sexy little horror TV show. It started off slow for me but it's gotten much better nearing the final episodes..it's beautifully shot and so creative and full of very real "end of days" messaging...all of the actors and actresses are giving it their all...Including the surprisingly good Travis Kelce! I'm in it until the end."
"Absolutely phenomenal performance from Niecy. It is very much in line with Ryan Murphy’s signature style, more so from his earlier works. I have to say it is quite grotesque and the gore is definitely present and beautifully done. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for a complete re-work of the plot (knowing this is what Murphy has been known to do) and we got just that around Ep 7. I’m interested to see the remainder of the season! "
"No clue. After seeing an ad for the series on YouTube, I figured I’d check it out—October is right around the corner, and I’m all about spooky season! Only two episodes are available as it’s releasing weekly, so take this with a grain of salt since I haven’t seen the whole season yet. However, I’m unsure if I’ll keep tuning in. To be blunt, the dialogue is bad—really bad. It feels like the first show I’ve watched where the dialogue could be AI-generated, but even that might be unfair to AI. Some characters are written to be quirky, as if it’s meant to be endearing, but it just comes off as unrealistic, making it hard to connect with them or care about their struggles. The acting isn’t great either, but I’m hesitant to blame the actors entirely, given what they’re working with. The real weakness of the show is the writing. During many scenes, I was left confused—not because the show was too complex for me (trust me, I’ve watched shows that were too smart for my brain—looking at you, Hannibal), but because I couldn’t understand the point of certain scenes, character motivations, or why the characters were speaking the way they were. After the first episode, I had hope, but I was definitely let down. By the end of the second episode, I’ve lost most of my interest in continuing. The only thing keeping me somewhat invested is the core plot, as I do want to unravel the mystery and figure out what’s really going on. Unfortunately, the show seems far more interested in quirky dialogue and confusing character dynamics than in exploring the mystery. I’m not sure it’s worth sticking around for."
"The script and pacing is meh; you can tell that Ryan Murphy is behind the show because it feels American Horror Story in that sense (where you might not have certain things that seem very important regarding why character decisions are made explained through the story telling). A lot of the times, Murphy just be doing ish. You know the aesthetic will be there, the visceral gore, even— but the plot? Have fun chasing it around while dealing with the most distracting soap opera drama details that might not even end being that important as the show progresses. On the upside, Niecy Nash and Raven Goodwin are stellar in their performances, and I do love that the series is following religious imagery and allegories; highlighting the struggle between vices and virtues."
"Two episodes in and really enjoying so far. Creepy and suspenseful!"
