Read the final book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Reckoners series by worldwide bestselling author Brandon Sanderson! When Calamity lit up the sky, the Epics were born. David’s fate has been tied to their villainy ever since that historic night. Steelheart killed his father. Firefight stole his heart. And now Regalia has turned Prof, his closest ally, into a dangerous enemy. David knew Prof’s secret, and kept it even when Prof struggled to control the effects of his Epic powers. But facing Obliteration in Babilar was too much. Once the Reckoners’ leader, Prof has now embraced his Epic destiny. He’s disappeared into those murky shadows of menace Epics are infamous for the world over, and everyone knows there’s no turning back. . . . But everyone is wrong. Redemption is possible for Epics—Megan proved it. They’re not lost. Not completely. And David is just about crazy enough to face down the most powerful High Epic of all to get his friend back. Or die trying. Praise for the Reckoners series: #1 New York Times Bestselling Series “Another win for Sanderson . . . he’s simply a brilliant writer. Period.” —Patrick Rothfuss, author of the New York Times and USA Today bestseller The Name of the Wind “Action-packed.” —EW.com “Compelling. . . . Sanderson uses plot twists that he teases enough for readers to pick up on to distract from the more dramatic reveals he has in store.” —The A.V. Club

"A great conclusion to a great series!"

"One of Sanderson's strongest trilogies, the Reckoners is light and fairly fast-paced. The books do not bite off more than they can chew, and perhaps because of this, the characters do not get quite so compromised for the sake of plot as some of his other works. This makes for a solid final installment in Calamity, with classic Sanderson twists and a satisfying ending. It isn't going to go down in fantasy history but it is a good read and I can definitely recommend the entire series.<br/><br/>PG for some death and violence.<br/><br/>"

"4.6* on Sanderson scale.<br/><br/>Very minor minuscule almost not worth mentioning spoiler in this post. More like hints of a spoiler. A spoiler of a spoiler. <br/><br/>Well honestly I don't know what to say about this book. I feel strange at the ending of this series. Not like when I finished the original Mistborn series, or even Warbreaker and Elantris. For them I suppose I've always known there would be more, even before Brandon admitted that he was thinking about writing more for them. For some reason with them when I finished I was sad to say goodbye but I knew I'd be seeing them again. That I'd get to dive into their worlds again. This series though, it's over. Sanderson has so many other projects he is working on and I'm super excited for those all to come about but I'm still so sad this is over. I mean I will always hold out hope for something more in this world and have even managed to trick myself into believing that even though this series takes place on Earth it <i>could</i> be in the cosmere. Just think how wonderful that would be. I mean, there <i>could</i> be an earth in the cosmere - and <i>technically</i> Megan's powers could reach into other worlds? Right? <br/><br/>Probably not. So now it feels like I'm losing a friend. Well, multiple friends. It's like they're going to start a new colony of civilization on Mars. There's a tiny sliver of a fraction of hope of me seeing them again and maybe joining their colony, or them coming back to visit me here, but they're more likely going to be busy starting a new life and won't have time. I really shouldn't hope, but I can't stop myself. <br/><br/>Feelings about the series being over aside, this was a great read and a great end to the series. I was worried there wouldn't be enough time to deal with Calamity as the story was focused so much on Prof but with what happens, well I got more Calamity than I thought I would. This book followed the second nicely in that it had plenty of action and plots and plans to keep me from being able to put it down.<br/><br/>Also, I was kind of upset through the series that nothing had made me tear up, but I shouldn't have worried. The ending was particularly wonderful. I teared up and felt immense satisfaction with those tears. <br/><br/>And last time I'll get to say this, so I better say it: metaphors, oh sweet metaphors. How I love them and wish I could just curl up in a bed made of David's metaphors and just sleep for days on happiness."

"Absolutely love Sanderson’s writing style. This book gave me exactly what I wanted while keeping me guessing all the way through! The twists are amazing and had me on my toes! I have been looking for a book series that I would really enjoy for a long time and I’m sad that I read through them so fast! I will definitely be reading more of Sanderson’s stuff! "
