Mia Sheridan
From New York Times bestselling author Mia Sheridan comes an emotional, slow burn romance about a woman desperate to hide and the man who sees through her walls, perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score. I wanted to lose myself in the small town of Pelion, Maine. To forget everything I had left behind. The sound of rain. The blood. The coldness of a gun against my skin. For six months, each breath has been a reminder that I survived--and my dad didn't. I'm almost safe again. But the moment I meet Archer Hale, my entire world tilts on its axis . . . and never rights itself again. Until I trespass into his strange, silent, and isolated world, Archer communicates with no one. Yet in his whiskey-colored eyes, something intangible happens between us. There's so much more to him than just his beauty, his presence, or the ways his hands communicate with me. On me. But this town is mired in secrets and betrayals, and Archer is the explosive center of it all. So much passion. And so much hurt. But it's only in Archer's silence that we might just find what we need to heal . . . and live. Includes an exclusive extended epilogue from Archer's POV! A Goodread's "Top Romance Novel of All Time" A New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller

"I understand why people like this book but it’s not for me. I like that there wasn’t a 3rd act breakup but I didn’t really connect with the characters for some reason. I think if you like Lucy Score this book felt similar. I just found Archer’s back story to unrealistic. Someone as isolated and traumatized as him is just fine after meeting a girl. It just seemed to far fetched. It also felt like there were plot holes. Like did he go to school or not? I think if I would have read it when it came out in 2014 I would have loved it but there are way better books out there now. Overall it’s a fine read. 2-2.5/5 spice level. Spice in this book was just okay. "
"If there’s anything I learned from this book it’s that IF HE WANTED TO HE WOULD"

"I am in love with archer hale, like PLEASE. The biggest sweetheart out there. I loved this story sooo much. My heart ached so bad for both archer and bree, but I loved how they stuck with each other through it all. I absolutely loved the character growth. I thought the supporting characters fit perfectly and the story was so well-written. The ending was to die for! It was everything I could’ve ever wanted from this book. This book is so captivating that it doesn’t make you feel like you’re reading when you’re reading. I read this so quick without even realizing. 💙 I would 100% read this again! "
"This is my all time favorite book. Archer and Bree deserve so much better for what happened. I love them together. I am reading Travis now. I hated him in this book, but I hope he has character development. Read this book if you haven’t. It is so worth it. I even sobbed at the end. If you read it you know why. Just read this and you won’t regret it. I will not accept hate on this book."
