"This book leaves a lot to be desired. I was let down after having read other books by Shari Lapena’s that I enjoyed. I had a hard time with the number of characters and keeping them straight that I had to take notes and reference them for a while. I felt this was written in a way that assumed I had never heard of context clues, which made it feel repetitive and amateurishly written. I figured out who the killer was before the reveal, which doesn’t happen too often. The best thing about it was that it was a rather short read. "
"ok hi took a break from writing reviews but this book is the definition of mediocre.
This book is such a cookie cutter typical murder mystery which isn’t that great. Many details of this story just felt very pointless. This book wasn’t even that scary or thrilling as the writing was the bare minimum.
I will say that this book was an amazingly fast read. But I had felt no connection to the characters and they were so typical for a murder mystery
All in all this book is straight up boring. It just doesn’t stand out or do anything different for the genre. "
"This book gave me Clue vibes"
