Young writer Richard Collier is met on the opening night of his first play by an old lady who begs him to "Come back to me". Mystified, he tries to find out about her, and learns that she is a famous stage actress from the early 1900s. Becoming more and more obsessed with her, by self-hypnosis he manages to travel back in time—where he meets her.

"I definitely agree with the other reviewers on here about this movie. The last 10 minutes made the whole thing SO SAD LIKE WHY YALL?! Anyways it’s safe to say I’m in love with this movie and it has now become a forever favorite for me. If you like pride and prejudice you will probably like this movie too. It’s not enemies to lovers but it is an old timey slow burn beautiful romance. 100/10"
