To Have and Have Not

"I have watched this great film so many times over the years. The sexual tension between Bogart and Bacall lies just under the surface in almost every scene they have together. Bogart plays the role of an underground helper to a group of French resistance fighters who are running away from an always alert French police force, led by a frequently sweaty Dan Seymour. He meets Slim, Bacall's character, and they strike up an easy friendship that turns into much more. Hoagy Carmichael sings in some scenes of the movie. Great cast, and full of incredible quotable lines by Lauren Bacall, some of my favorites."
