"Same cinematographer as Interstellar and it shows. Great visuals and decent score. Too much narration is a fault of the film and it constantly treads a fine line of epic and slog. Brad Pitt is good and the supporting cast comes off as disposable since their main roles are literally plot points to move the narrative forward. All in all if you want a good sci-fi flick that reaches for a Nolan-esque feel then James Gray does no harm. It has an interesting premise, but leaves something to be desired. If you’ve seen The Lost City of Z then you more or less know what you’re in for. 7.2/10 (C-)"
