"I'm going to admit I was beyond glad to have gotten this far in the series since the whole reason I watched it in the first place was in hopes to watch that end battle scene of the last movie. This meant I just had to get through this to make it to that. Then I was caught off guard by the visuals. The Breaking Dawn parts by far have the coolest scenery and cinematography. It's just plain pretty. But just like Peter Pan & Wendy, a pretty background can't make a good movie no matter how hard you may try. There are good parts though. The expansion of this universe is done well. It starts it off before our "epic finale." Putting the political statements aside, it's an intriguing film. It could never even hope to stand on its own, but it does its job. It's also refreshing to see the characters finally smile for a change. Having suffered 3 movies to see those smiles it feels like a reward. One well earned and way over-due. Seeing happiness before the actual stakes of the movie begins is nice. Then the rest of the movie takes over and we're back to doom and gloom. If there's one thing this series accomplishes it's being depressing while maintaining the viewers interest. And I do mean interest. As I've said about the previous films here I go again to reiterate this point. Someone described the entire series as bad. That all 4 books are plain bad. However, it is beyond interesting. This person read every last page of those incredibly thick novels. So they admitted that while the story could use a lot of work it's still interesting enough to make up for it. Both the author & creators of these movies have that going for them. No matter how many critiques we can think of & will throw at these films, it won't change the undeniable fact that the story's will intrigue you & capture your interest."
