"So here we are, 3 movies deep. I learned thanks to the last movie the one thing that truly intrigues me about this entire series is the volturi. Yet they don't really show up here. Still, I did finish this movie. Except I'll admit I hate it. Sure, it's fine enough, I guess, for progressing this beyond thick story, but I really wish they'd have just killed Victoria in the 1st movie. Would've saved a lot of headaches. Now for the good parts. Edward & Jacob's conversation in the tent felt real & honest. It's the one thing that I enjoy about this film. Everything else is just Jacob putting in the same amount of stalker energy as Edward but being turned down instead of turned on by Bella. Although, one good scene does not a movie make. The villain here is still Victoria & while her plan may be clever it's not fun to watch play out. The only thing her plan does accomplish is a new character that I felt invested in. She's the one I like, & I never learn her name. Why? Cuz the author couldn't think of any other dire consequences for this movie to create besides killing her off. That's a slight spoiler but by now if you haven't seen the films you're like me, either invested in never watching them or about to watch them because something captured your interest. I said this in my last review, but here it goes again because it truly expresses the way this series works. I heard someone describe the entire series as bad. That all 4 books are plain bad. However, it is beyond interesting. This person read every single page of those incredibly thick novels. (I never read them, taking his word for it) So they admitted that while the story could use a lot of work it is also interesting enough to make up for it. Both the author & creators of these movies have that going for them. No matter how many critiques we can think of & will throw at these films, it won't change the undeniable fact that the story's will intrigue you & capture your interest."
