"It was a really good interpretation of what happened in Cambodia during the 70's. I originally thought it was meant to be a children's film but it was very violent so if you're triggered by suicide, rape or violence then it might be best to watch something else. I honestly didn't know about communism in Cambodia but I didn't realize how cult like it would be and it just had a lot of similarities to an internment camp. I think it's important for people to understand others suffering. "

"This is a beautiful film. The animation and art is breath taking. It also does a great job telling the story of the Cambodian people who lived under the Khmer Rouge. I definitely recommend. Also the film isn't graphic so it's also easier to stomach. "
