Now, was it the best Anderson movie I've ever seen? No. Did it move me in a way that it will have a lasting effect on me? Nope. But it was a beautiful homage to French cinema, very touching. Each shot has so much thought put into it. Very, very fun movie for fans of cinema and Wes Anderson’s work."

Some parts fall a little flat, but overall it was a good watch. Side note: There's a bit more nudity in this one than his other work if that matters to you."

sophia_kotsariadis shared a tip "Every actor gives a memorable performance that fits the tone of the film as well as their characters, Wes Anderson delievers beautiful visuals per usual using camera work, framing, and colouring, and lack there of. He combinds monochrome cinema with vibrant colours he is notorious for, giving an extremley unique presentation masterfully executed making this film one to see in cinemas and not easily forgotten. The animation portions were well styled and placed into the film without disrupting the flow of live visuals, the dialogue is all beautifully performed and written, and the different plots are engaging, unique and memorably quirky in their own aspects. The score is placed well, and beautiful but not the focus of the film. This film is one everybody should see twice in a lifetime, just as I intend to do."
