Gamera 2: Attack of Legion

"Shocktober 2024: This one definitely starts slower than the first but once Gamera shows up that all melts away. The monsters and action in these films still looks incredible. Absolutely top notch for the genre. Gamera is still a great character in these and the return of Asagi made me realize I actually like the human cast quite a bit too. Her unflinching faith in Gamera is endearing and infectious. This one definitely took longer to get going but it also had moments that almost had emotional moments that hit surprisingly hard for me so overall it's pretty on part with the first. There are allegory and things discussed in this movie but overall the main message of this trilogy appears to be "believe in Gamera!" And I do!"
