"The fantastic vibrancy of the colour film and the storyline is really amazing for 1902! I honestly didn't know George's Melies was a real person. I had only seen his life very loosely portrayed in the film "Hugo" by Ben Kingsley. This short film is truly ahead of it's time!"

"I plan on watching this by myself because I am the only movie nerd in the household but my children joined me and even enjoyed this film as well. This film is art simply put it is absolutely fascinating that they made this over 100 years ago I still can't fathom or possibly explain how. This is considered to be your first science fiction film so it definitely has the standard idea man has idea man goes on voyage man stumbles otherworldly life and unfortunately in this movie and like other films man in this case accidentally brings otherworldly life back with them and think you know that would be a great sideshow definitely a representation of the times. Anyhow it's very short under 20 minutes and breathtaking definitely should watch"
