In the 28th century, Valerian and Laureline are special operatives charged with keeping order throughout the human territories. On assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two undertake a mission to Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis where species from across the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence, and cultures. At the center of Alpha is a mysterious dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

"I loved everything about this movie except for one thing, and it's a pretty big gripe. I absolutely HATED that they cast Dane DeHaan as the lead in this movie!!! It's the perfect example of sending a boy to do a man's job. Expecting the audience to believe that DeHaan is supposed to be a seasoned operative is a huge ask. He looks like a child. Especially when he is cast opposite someone like Clive Owen. Other than that, I loved the special effects, the story, the action, and the imagination put into the world building for this project. But I feel that the reason why it didn't do better at the box office is mainly because of DeHaan. He's just not the guy to carry a project of this magnitude. 8/10 "
