A horde of rampaging warriors massacre the parents of young Conan and enslave the young child for years on The Wheel of Pain. As the sole survivor of the childhood massacre, Conan is released from slavery and taught the ancient arts of fighting. Transforming himself into a killing machine, Conan travels into the wilderness to seek vengeance on Thulsa Doom, the man responsible for killing his family. In the wilderness, Conan takes up with the thieves Valeria and Subotai. The group comes upon King Osric, who wants the trio of warriors to help rescue his daughter who has joined Doom in the hills.

"3.5⭐️ The 80s weren’t known for sophisticated film making and this is no exception but yet it’s still iconic and weirdly enjoyable despite its VERY problematic treatment of the fem characters. Sandahl Bergman’s badass warrior does steal Ahnold’s thunder though by providing the film’s emotional apex and delivering the most memorable line. But it is one of his earliest films before he was really known for that. Conan was the role he was born to play and he’s mainly just flexing his muscles and awkwardly kicking ass in this. Overall good medieval sacrificial snake cult fantasy if that’s what you’re into 😂 "

"This was my absolute favorite fantasy movie as a kid. I named my cat "Crom" after Conan's mountain god in the movie. This has one of the best movie soundtracks of all time!"

"Arnold before he was a mega movie star. This movie is a cult classic generally speaking, mostly because it isn't a good movie. It has its charms for sure but overall it isn't terrible."

"Uncle Iroh narrates a grudge match between the Terminator and Darth Vader just like in my fanfic"

"I feel like I'm a bad feminist for loving this movie, and it's all James Earl Jones's fault. He's that great in this, that I'm literally willing to sacrifice my principles to give it re-watch after re-watch. 🤷♀️"

"Cult film! In a movie with limited dialogue: “Kiss me. Let me breath my last breath into your mouth.”"
