"Oooo! Based on the trailer, I’ll be watching 👀 The casting looks great — and I’ve read that Christina Ricci has joined the cast, but her role remains unknown. Unfortunately this won’t premier until AFTER Halloween 2022, but that’s okay, the spirit of the spooky season will just remain alive a little longer!! 🖤 "
"This #TeenTV series is a pretty good lil’ #murdermystery filled with #adventure & clever, dry #humor ~ As an adult, I’ll give it a thumbs up 👍🏾 but if I were a #teenager, I’d maybe rate it a 7 or 8 out of 10🌟 Jenna Ortega’s character is delightfully “dark” 👧🏻 and “Thing” ✋🏽 (her ghoulish little “pet”) is pretty adorable & often a scene-stealer. All the other characters are just fine, along with the set design, makeup & costumes. The main plot veered a little off-course midway through the series, but managed to circle back around, with Season 1 wrapping up nicely & even leaving a slight teaser should the series get renewed. PLOT: After Wednesday Addams is expelled from school, she’s sent off to Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts, where the four main cliques are Fangs (vampires), Furs (werewolves), Stoners (gorgons), & Scales (sirens). However, soon after arriving at the academy, Wednesday finds herself in the midst of a series of murders. She becomes intrigued & decides to perform her own investigation in an attempt to solve the mystery & to help stop the killing spree."
"I'm not sure why, but the more I let this show sit with me, the more it feels like an oldschool anime? It's just something about how the characters are caricatures of two completely different outlooks on life, but the story doesn't necessarily focus on them? I can't quite fully understand, but I love it. "
"Really really liked it :) I’m a big fan of the original and this twist on it worked out so well, especially since Christina Ricci came back for it! "
