"**Spoiler ahead ~ stop reading now if you wish to watch** // Another title featuring Colin Morgan. Loved him so much in “Merlin” that I’ve been catching up with everything else he’s done to-date. I love ghosts and ghost hunting. I love the Victorian era. So, ghosts in a Victorian setting? PERFECT. I was so NOT expecting the end of ep 1. It veeery much reminded me of “The Others.” Overall plot is somewhat confusing at times, a bit Timey Wimey, you could say. Fitting, as Alice Troughton, a director of the series, also directed several episodes of Doctor Who (not related to Patrick Troughton). I think the concept of The Living and the Dead is a cool one, though something (or some things) doesn’t seem to fully come together. I can’t put my finger on it… something left to be desired. But still watchable, interesting, spooky, thought-provoking. The final episode ends on a MASSIVE cliffhanger, which will never be resolved, as the series was cancelled. It’s too bad, because I would’ve liked to have seen more. Colin Morgan is fantastic, as he is in everything else of his I’ve seen. So natural an actor and always threatens to make me cry with his big blue eyes 💙 Sexy af as Mr. Appleby ❤️🔥"
"This is a very well done and underrated series. Definitely worth the watch! Atmosphere of creepiness builds throughout."
