"This is a really intense movie. There are so many good actors in it: Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio; even Don Johnson. It was a really moving portrayal of a man who would do anything to free the love of his life. This is a triumphant story for those that couldn't break the chains of slavery. Even in this serious storyline, there were places in the film where you just had to laugh at the insanity of the circumstances. The music fit the film a strange way, and it was certainly very well acted."
"This is probably my favorite Tarantino movie, it's right up there with Pulp Fiction. So many great performances from just about everyone involved... Jaimie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Kerry Washington give stellar performances and of course Samuel L. Jackson never disappoints. But Leonardo DiCaprio goes above and beyond in this one, playing a Mandingo owning slaver, even accidentally cutting himself in real life during a scene and just kept on going, never missing a beat. I've watched this movie so many times that I've lost count. 10/10"

"Took me forever to finally watch this. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was not that. Typical Quentin Tarantino style the characters were larger than life, and you had to suspend your belief at times. Jamie Foxx plays a newly freed slave who learns the ways of bounty hunting from a German dentist (weird, right?). He eventually exacted revenge on many slavers that were directly or indirectly involved in the punishment and separation of him and his wife. The ending scenes are an insane shoot out with lots of gore that almost makes you laugh. Weird film, but I can see why it won awards. An interesting take on the Antebellum South in the style of a traditional western. "
