"I agree with the other reviewers that said this film is too long. It is. However, the story flows because it is like a play. The first few acts may take a little longer than usual, but it worth the final reveal. Of course, there is a different ambience by taking Blanc to an 🏝️ island to solve a murder. The only two problems I had were Edward Norton and Kate Hudson. Edward is too boring to me. He doesn't have the gravitas to pull off the character he was given to play. And I have said this before, Kate Hudson is not a good actress. Sorry. This time, Blanc simply had a good time giving speeches about any suspects, and another character helped solve the crime. It IS a fun movie, but not as intelligent as the original film. "
"This is more of a stand alone movie than it is a sequel. There is no need to see the first one to enjoy this movie. A fully stacked cast of stars round out the characters and everyone does their part to keep the story moving and keep the viewer engaged. Quirky and fun. I'll have to rewatch the first one to compare, because I don't remember fully, but I'm pretty sure it's equally as good. I give it a solid A."
"Rian Johnson knows how to write and direct a damn mystery. I went in expecting one story and walked out with an entirely different one (that’ll make more sense later). It was funny, full of twists and AHA! moments and it was certainly a worthy successor to the first film. Also Janelle Monae deserves her flowers for her performance!!!"
"It was always going to be a nearly impossible task to live up to Knives Out, I mean how do you top a villain like Ransom? But despite that , Glass Onion is still a wildly fun experience that fans of the genre and franchise will likely still enjoy. If there’s one thing Glass Onion does do better than it’s predecessor, it's that it gives us much more Benoit Blanc, and you can never have enough of Benoit Blanc."
"Great film! Hilarious, mysterious, and with a series of plot twist which left me shook! It was a fun film and quite long (2+ hours) but I enjoyed it all the way! The ending was left open for a the continuation but it did finish off the story and didn’t leave anyone hanging! #mystery #detective #satire #drama #comedy #clue #crime_and_mystery #crime"
