"So far so good. I am anxious to see what they do next. I think they are kind of off the rails at the moment. I'm hoping they get back on track with the next season.
8/30/24 I've started Season 2. So far I'm not sure what to think. I'll be updating periodically. "

"A great prequel series to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, taking place after the end of the First Age when Morgoth has been locked away with murmurs of a new Dark Lord named Sauron!"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 I didn’t expect ROP to recreate or even match Peter Jackson’s brilliance and it doesn’t but I loved it for what it is. If that adaptation didn’t exist the gatekeepers would be thrilled to have an epic undertaking such as this bringing Tolkien’s world to life. Even PJ took huge liberties with The Hobbit films and turned them into something almost unrecognizable and definitely way less iconic than the LOTR films which was disappointing to me and a lot of fans but certainly there was none of the outrage ROP has elicited. Wonder why that is..hmmm 🤔"

"I was skeptical about this series because the movies are SOOOO well done that I didn't think that there would be any way that this series would even come close to being as good. But I was pleasantly surprised. The production value was really good. Set locations, costumes, makeup... all top notch. Character development and storytelling was all great as well. Can't wait for the next season. 9/10"

"I feel like this is a show that only shines if you don't understand what made the original three movies so good. What we got reeks of the men of Dunharrow, sans a redemption story in the third act. "

"I thought this was really good. Enjoyed it much more than the new GOT. Is Peter Jackson involved in this? Just cool that they kept all the characters, and even the world, so similar to the movies. Liked the finale, even with all the cliffhangers. So much to look forward to. "

"Still waiting for last episode but safe to give it a “Like”. With that said, this recommendation comes with caveats. Direction of the show needs improvement. For example each and every scene doesn’t need to end into some dramatic unfinished segments. Also there are way too many slow motion shots that are unnecessary. It’s obvious that lot of money has gone into the production and viewers appreciate it (if it stays subtle). Anyhow, if you like Lord of the Rings, this is a no-brainer must watch."
