Nominated for a 34th annual Lambda Literary Award • A scintillating thriller with an emotional punch: “The tension builds to unbearably claustrophobic levels. To say more would rob readers of the 'no, he didn’t' suspense that makes Bath Haus an unexpectedly twisted, heart-pounding cat-versus-mouse thriller" (Los Angeles Times).Oliver Park, a recovering addict from Indiana, finally has everything he ever wanted: sobriety and a loving, wealthy partner in Nathan, a prominent DC trauma surgeon. Despite their difference in age and disparate backgrounds, they've made a perfect life together. With everything to lose, Oliver shouldn't be visiting Haus, a gay bathhouse. But through the entrance he goes, and it's a line crossed. Inside, he follows a man into a private room, and it's the final line. Whatever happens next, Nathan can never know. But then, everything goes wrong, terribly wrong, and Oliver barely escapes with his life.He races home in full-blown terror as the hand-shaped bruise grows dark on his neck. The truth will destroy Nathan and everything they have together, so Oliver does the thing he used to do so well: he lies. What follows is a classic runaway-train narrative, full of the exquisite escalations, edge-of-your-seat thrills, and oh-my-god twists. P. J. Vernon's Bath Haus is perfect for readers curious for their next must-read novel.

"Bath Haus is one of my favorite books I've read this year so far! It was intriguing and twisty. I haven't come across a ton of thrillers with LGBTQ+ leads, so hopefully we can see more of that. Bath Haus kept me guessing the entire way through, and it's such an addicting read. I highly recommend checking it out!"
"Not your everyday domestic psychological thriller I can assure you! <br/><br/>Heads up, don’t start the audiobook in the car with your kids like I did, because it starts off with an explicit sex scene in a bathhouse! During the sex, the guy almost tried to kill him with asphyxiation! He was lucky enough to hurt his killer and break free. However, his killer isn’t finished with him yet. <br/><br/>This is told from both partners point of view, the one who cheated and the doctor that wants nothing more than to get married. <br/><br/>Twists and turns galore in this book and if you enjoy unreliable narrators this book is for you! <br/><br/><br/><br/>"

"Just got off the Rollercoaster. As I poured through the pages I was so hyped up with irritation and frustration over the serious character flaws that drive the plot. I mean, serious flaws. The feeling of watching that teen in the horror movie going down into the darkened basement to surely meet their fate ...that feeling of watching someone make one bad choice after another...it was stoked over and over as I read along. But it was those same flaws that made for such a great payoff at the end. 4.5 stars."

"Twisted. At times Oliver stressed me out. "
